The visual storytelling for this film is just wonderful. Especially the beginning of the film. And for a Hitchcock film, this was a cozy watch! (for me atleast)

This is obviously the most overhyped Hitchcock film but you know what? It does deserve the hype. The way the films perspective changes midway, like?? Killing off the lead in the first half of the film? It's insane

This was my first Hitchcock film. I was in a phase of bingining films with James Stewart in them at the time. The moment I saw him in Vertigo, it got me hooked! I mean, have you noticed that a handful of films here has Jimmy in it?? haha Anyway, yeah. James Stewart was my gateway to Hitchock films
I think this is where Hitchcock peaked with his use of suspense

ANYWAY, about this film. This was ALMOST one of my all-time favorite Hitchcock film but my god, I hated the ending. It's like they rushed the ending. Like, how the fuck did they just go back to their place and act all fine to their visitors after all the shit that just happen like probably less than an hour ago??? Realistically speaking, the kid was most likely be traumatized lol
