In over a hundred years from now, I wonder how our present day will be written as history.
----> I originally wanted to say I wonder how our present time will look like in history books over a hundred years later, but I'm not sure if people even still use books by then lol

Anyway I've been wondering, 100+ years from now, how will I be written as in the future as part of history. Will I be written as just a group or just a number of population in written history? What are the odds of having my name written in some historical events?

If I'll get remembered by my name in our history, I wonder what would my role be, what part of history will my name gonna be written in? What will I be remembered for? What have I done to be remembered by name? Am I gonna be remembered for a positive thing I do, or am I gonna be a villain in our history? Or what if I've done something so innovative or revolutionary that changes society?

On the other hand, if I get written as just a population in history, what population would I be recorded in? Will it be something about my area's economic status when I was alive? Or what if I'll be written as a part of the number of population who's lives were lost from a major natural disaster? Or what if I'm just a percent of a ratio between the population of people with college degrees and people who had no access to education in the 2020s?

I don't know what level of existential shit this is but it's something that I've been thinking about lately lmao, there's just so many what ifs that I could think of about this.

Like, as a person who loves history, I also can't help but see our present time as the past as well. I mean, just thinking about it,  everything we have right now in the present will eventually become a past and turns into history day after day. And the future is gonna be the new present day.

So sometimes, I can't help but think and wonder how people in the future will see us as they study our present lives through their history class 100 years from now. I wonder what they'll think of us.
